Six Years Ago. . .

I worked on the mountain all day today and it wasn't until about 4:15pm when I was signing and dating my end-of-season paperwork that I realized.

April 7

Diagnosis day. 2004.

When we went from this:








To this:








One second life was good. The next? Not so much.

That was then. This is now.








And now is good. In fact, it's great.

Oh, the steroid cheeks, two (or more!) plates of food at a time, and still refusing to smile because they feel like such crap photos make my heart hit a little bit, even after all these years. God bless Finn, God bless your entire family, and God bless the advancements of modern medicine and research, which have allowed our kids to not only win, but thrive.

OMG ditto to Kristie's comment...when I saw that photo in the high chair with all that food!!! Imagine a 15 year old.....10x that food and an equally grumpy face....but without the high chair LOL!

Thank goodness those days are behind us! Full speed ahead Finn!

*Hahahha the roundabouts....LOL...I had to go around one after missing a turn becuase the Garmin was toooooo slow!
